Childish Ways....

"When I was a child I spoke as a child I understood as a child I thought as a child; but when I became a man I put away childish things." I Cor. xiii. 11.

While sitting here this Bible verse came to mind.  I had to google it... As a child the innocence, the care free mind, the I don't have to worry about much is in full effect.  As an adult there comes a time when all the childish ways be put to rest.  It is time for you to flourish as a human being and fulfill what God has destined for you.

I can not help but to feel like there is so much more to life that I have yet to experience... I work in a place that many would feel fortunate to work here and I am greatful for this blessing, but I can't help but to feel unhappy.  Just recently I have encountered many signs that are telling me, "yes D, you are doing great things here on the island, however, it is time for you to expand your wings, experience and return to help your people."  I want to this... I want to be an even better person so that I can give back to St. Croix, but before I can do that I need to work on myself. 

Just this week an old scar was opened again and it hurt... Old scars are reminders of past experiences...  Some scars maybe reopened, but it is how we chose to handle or heal them that makes us a better person. 

Today I encourage you to leave the NEGATIVE childish ways behind and become a better adult.
